Pabor si Senador Sherwin Gatchalian na magkaroon ng licensure exam ang mga journalist, tulad ng mga engineers, certified public accountant at stock brokers.
“I think it’s a very good proposal to professionalize the journalism industry. Various industries have transitioned into professionalizing their practitioners—the real estate industry, stock brokers, etc.,” sabi ni Sen. Gatchalian.
Ayon sa senador, makakatulong daw ito para mawaksi ang mga bugok na media personnel sa ating bansa.
